I felt the time was right to finally create this blog post as we just celebrated a baby shower at my office and I had to dig around for some of my favorite items. Side note: I feel like there is a lot of pressure for moms to have all the latest and greatest things as the marketing campaigns have made us believe. Its mostly a lie - We truly do not need a lot but there are a few items that make our lives easier. Below is my list - did I miss anything?!

Deluxe Dockatot - these are pricey but this was a lifesaver when our baby was an infant and I was recovering from a c-section. We used this daily for at least 6 months so definitely got our moneys worth. Pro Tip: I bought mine through TJMaxx online which helped us save a bit on the $200 price tag. They often have some sales so sign up for their newsletter. www.dockatot.com
Shusher - I found this on Amazon but you can buy it everywhere now as its become very popular! This product helps baby fall asleep even under the toughest conditions. Do not take my word for it and try it out yourself! Pro Tip: We have found this product to be very fragile so do not drop it or shake it too much. I think we have replaced it three times already but still could not live without it! www.babyshusher.com
Magnetic Me - magnetic onesies/outfits. I do not need to say anymore but they are a lifesaver especially in those months where you are going through double digit daily diapers! www.magneticme.com ProTip: I have found this brand on sale at Saks a lot so if you have an amex you can use your $50 Saks credit on these!
Pacifiers- Specifically BIBS. You can try other brands but these were our favorites and we still use them today! They are now carried at more locations including in store at Target!
Nanit Pro - In full disclosure, we received our nanit pro for free because I had signed up to do new parent surveys of baby equipment. Pro Tip: Go to weespring.com to sign up to be a reviewer and get free stuff! This was our favorite baby monitor as it allows multiple users to have an account and does not need to be on the wifi only. My husband often times goes in the gym in the morning and gauges how much more time he has depending on if baby is up or not! It truly is our favorite and the one we paid for - we only use when we are traveling.
Cyber Beezy - while the beautiful uppababy and nuna big strollers are very nice, you really want something that's easy to maneuver and get in and out of the car. I really really really like the cyber beezy stroller as its a quick easy fold, and fits in much smaller places. Its also very light to fold up yourself so this has become our more daily use stroller as our son has gotten older. Pro Tip: I got mine on sale at Nordstrom and I have seen it on sale many times so do not pay full price.
Triple Paste- my friend Janet from work got my hooked on this. This was the best for diaper rash and a staple in our house. We have tried other brands especially due to covid availability and nothing is better than triple paste.
Infant tub - our favorite is made by angel care and is $20 at target. We used this is our larger tub and it made it very very simple. We tried a more expensive one (the stokke) and found way more value in having an easy tub every night to use. Pro Tip:
Activity mat - We particularly liked the infantino branded activity mat (the 4 in 1 twist and fold to be exact). This price point was great ($60) and it folds down pretty easily when not in use or when it goes in storage when baby has outgrown it! We used this daily for the first 9 months and its waiting for baby #2 so it was a great investment.
Hooded towels - Pottery barn hooded towels. This is definitely a splurge item but our child is almost two and we still use these towels - albeit not for much longer. I would recommend getting one or two of these as they are the most absorbent hooded towels I used. https://www.potterybarnkids.com/products/gingham-hooded-towel/?catalogId=10&sku=7013365&cm_ven=PLA&cm_cat=Google&cm_pla=Bath%20%3E%20Baby%20Hooded%20Towels®ion_id=697020&cm_ite=7013365_18101024848&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI2uqq3cWL-gIVUGpvBB06bAYmEAQYASABEgI6nfD_BwE
Honorable mention - Aden & Anais bibs. They are very absorbent and since we had a drooler on our hand we went through a few a day!
